The cloud version of Microsoft’s system has plans from the basic to the most complete, being mainly aimed at the corporate public, since the desktop can be accessed via the internet and without relying on hardware . The software needs to be installed locally on a device to perform the functions using the hardware available on the machine. In addition, especially when we talk about Windows 11, the device needs to meet the minimum requirements informed by Microsoft in order to install it.

In this case, the company does not need to send notebooks to its employees or install the operating system on a device, as everything works as a subscription service that everyone can access, such as Netflix and Spotify, for example,
So there’s no need to worry about system crashes caused by older hardware, as these features aren’t used by Microsoft’s cloud service. Despite being entirely via the web, the desktop made available to the user is private and can be accessed from anywhere — including tablets and smartphones.

Which one should I choose?
As stated earlier, Windows 365 is aimed exclusively at the business environment. If you are a casual self-employed user, subscribing to the service may not be worth it, as the subscription costs will be higher than buying a notebook with a standard Windows license.
However, if you want to implement Windows 365 in your company, Microsoft offers two packages: Business and Enterprise, with plans that vary according to your need. From the options, you can choose up to eight CPUs, storage up to 512GB, RAM memory up to 32GB, and the number of devices that can use the same account.

If you don’t have any version of Windows yet, you can purchase Windows 10 from the official Microsoft website and receive the Windows 11 upgrade for free in the future.
For those interested in subscribing to Windows 365, three plans are available: Basic, Standard and Premium. In the basic plan, the consumer is able to use the desktop versions of Office, Outlook and OneDrive applications . Standard guarantees the same features, but offers a more complete edition of Microsoft Teams .
