Samsung Galaxy Fold Begins to Get One UI 3.1.1 with September Security Update

Samsung introduced the latest foldable Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 with One UI 3.1.1. And as you know, the third generation Fold and Flip comes with a host of new features for these two series alone. Later, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Z Flip also received the update with new features. And now the original Galaxy Fold also gets One UI 3.1.1 with amazing new features exclusive to foldable phones.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is Samsung’s first foldable phone released in 2019 with Android 9. Later, the phone received the first major update as One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 and then Android 11. One UI 3.1.1 isn’t a major Android update, but it brings a host of new features that will definitely improve the user experience.

One UI 3.1.1 appears to be an exclusive update for the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Flip series as it mostly features form factor features. According to Sammobile, Galaxy Fold One UI 3.1.1 update ships with F907NKOU3FUHB / F907NOKR3FUHB / F907NKOU3FUH5 . The firmware version may differ depending on your region. A 936MB update.

As for the changes in Galaxy Fold One UI 3.1.1, it brings the latest September 2021 Android Security Patch. The update also brings the new taskbar that lets you access your favorite apps from the right side of the screen. Other new features include drag and split, Rotate All Apps, Custom Aspect Ratio, and improved Multi-Active window. All these features will make your foldable phone even better.

One UI 3.1.1 for Galaxy Fold

The latest One UI 3.1.1 update is rolling out for Galaxy Fold en masse and you can expect the update on your device soon. You will receive a notification for the OTA update. Sometimes notifications may not come, in which case you can manually check for updates in Settings > Software Update. Click Download and Install when it displays the latest One UI 3.1.1 update.
