How to Change WhatsApp Font? There are many fonts you can use in WhatsApp other than the default font. We will talk about some tips that allow you to use them.

WhatsApp Bold Font
Before sending a message to a contact on WhatsApp, you can format some or all of your text as bold. For this you have to follow the steps below:
- Open WhatsApp and open the chat section of the person you want to send a message to.
- Type a message as you normally would.
- Put the part of your message you want to bold between two * characters. For example, to format the word “This example is a bold font” in bold, type:
- *This example is a bold font*
- Then send the message.
WhatsApp Italic Font
WhatsApp supports italic font along with bold font. To italicize or highlight part of the message text in WhatsApp, you must follow these steps:
- Open a chat with the person you want to message by launching WhatsApp.
- Write a message as you normally would.
- Put the part of your message that you want to highlight (italicize) between the _ characters. For example, to format the word “This example is italic text” in italics, type: _This example is italic text_
- Then send the message.
WhatsApp Strikethrough Font
Strikethrough font, one of the most popular fonts, is another font that WhatsApp supports. To use it, you must follow the instructions below:
- Open a chat with the person you want to message by launching WhatsApp.
- Write your message in the classic way.
- Put the part of your message you want to strikethrough between the ~ character. For example, to format the word “This is a strikethrough font” as strikethrough, type:
- ~This is a strikethrough font~
- Then send the message.
Changing WhatsApp Font Type (Monospace)
WhatsApp also supports an alternative font called Monospace. To change all or part of your message to Monospace font, follow these steps:
- Launch WhatsApp and open a chat with the person you want to message.
- Type a message as you normally would.
- Change your message to Monospace by placing three ` characters (back ticks) on either side of the text. For example, to format the word “This is the WhatsApp Monospace font” as Monospace, type:
- “`This is WhatsApp Monospace font“`
- Press Send to send the message.
WhatsApp Bold, Italic and Strikethrough Font
Finally, apart from Monospace, you can use the first three fonts we mentioned on a WhatsApp message. For this, it will be sufficient to put ~_* characters at the beginning and end of the parts of your message that you want to appear like this.
WhatsApp Font Change with App
Apart from the options that come with the application, you can also change the fonts in WhatsApp by using a third-party application. There are highly classy apps available for this in both the App Store and the Google Play Store. You can see them below:
